Meet The Team | Ascinsure

Mike Goff, Senior Vice President

Within this role, Mr. Goff manages Ascinsure’s underwriting and wholesale divisions, including spearheading business development goals and overseeing all operations within its Specialty Wholesale & Underwriting Insurance markets. Mr. Goff comes to Ascinsure with over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. Most recently, he was Vice President – Operations & Business Development for PROTX Risk Management LLC in Kentucky, where he served as the primary contact for Lloyd’s brokers & underwriters and created an extensive network for the expansion of underwriting facilities and special insurance placements. He has also held executive level positions at Euclid Public Sector Underwriters, Assurance Operation Services, Hylant Group, and 21st Century Claims/EUG. Mr. Goff has a B.A. from the University of Kentucky and a Juris Doctor from the Nashville School of Law.

 

David White, Underwriting Manager & Assistant Vice President

Within his role at Ascinsure, Mr. White manages and oversees the underwriting of all new and renewal business. He also works to enhance Ascinsure’s underwriting efficiency, execution and profitability.  Mr. White is an insurance underwriting and risk management professional who brings over 25 years of progressive, multi-line experience to Ascinsure. Most recently, he was the Senior Specialist Underwriter at Bituminous Insurance, where he was responsible for a $10+ million book of commercial contractor business. Mr. White also held various underwriting positions with companies such as Pennsylvania National, Hartford, Liberty Mutual and Marsh. He has a degree in Economics from Allegheny College.

 

 

 

Ed Tracy, Business Development Manager

DSC_9859Responsible for developing and cultivating broker relationships nationally, Ed handles new and renewal business for our exclusive niche insurance programs in his respective states. As a Business Development Manager, Ed brings over 15 years of commercial insurance experience to the table. Before Ascinsure, Ed spent time with Universal Underwriters and Zurich Direct Markets writing insurance for the automotive and trucking markets. Ed is a graduate of Penn State and is an avid skier, golfer, and ice hockey player.

Mickey Wasniewski, Business Development Manager

Looking to create and grow broker relationships nationally, Mickey handles new and renewal business for our exclusive niche insurance programs in his respective states. As a Business Development Manager, Mickey brings nearly 20 years of commercial insurance and underwriting experience to the table. Prior to Ascinsure, Mickey spent time at Zurich working with commercial construction markets. He also worked at outfits such as AIG and United States Aviation Insurance Group. Before starting a career in insurance, Mickey was a pilot for US Airways for over 3 years, flying Jetstream J31 aircraft. Mickey is a graduate of Kent State University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Josie Urbanski, Business Development Manager

Responsible for prospecting, creating, and maintaining partnerships with retail agents & brokers who have customers that would benefit from Ascinsure’s unique approach to risk management and niche focused solutions. As a Business Development Manager, Josie brings a high understanding of the specific insurance coverage needs and proper risk management solutions that would benefit the insureds of our partner brokers. Prior to Ascinsure, Josie spent time with Henderson Brothers as a account analyst and with Allied Insurance Brokers as an account manager. Josie is a graduate of Duquesne University with a discipline in economics and international business.

Gail Carl, Assistant Vice President – Underwriting

GailGail has over 30 years of underwriting experience. A graduate of Marshall University, she has a BA in Finance with a minor in insurance. She earned her CPCU designation in 1987, and continued her education by obtaining her Associate in Loss Control Management (ALCM) in 1995. Gail began her career with USF&G as a Casualty Underwriter and assisted in a training program for new underwriters. She has also worked for Royal and Zurich, with her last place of employment prior to Ascinsure with Northbrook Insurance Company/St. Paul. Gail underwrites the accounts in the MGA operations, reviews other underwriter’s work product, as well as performing ongoing analysis of statistical data relating to Ascinsure’s programs overall profitability.
